LEITURA DE IMAGEM: RELIGIÕES AFRO-BRASILEIRAS E EDUCAÇÃO

Resumo:

O objetivo deste trabalho é desenvolver uma reflexão a partir de a relação entre as religiões afro-brasileiras e a educação. Para a realização desta tarefa serão utilizadas como material de estudo as religiões afro-brasileiras, captadas pela leitura da imagem de uma foto. Esta reflexão consiste num exercício de leitura de imagem da cultura afro-brasileira. O objeto de leitura é uma fotografia que retrata o aspecto religioso dessa cultura. O objetivo do trabalho é apresentar leituras e sentidos possíveis à cultura afro-brasileira em nossa sociedade e no espaço escolar. As reflexões teóricas estão embasadas em Paulo Freire, em Josette Jolibert, em Bernard Charlot, em Rancière e em Vera Candau. Nas escolas não tem havido espaço para a cultura afro-brasileira em sala de aula, visto que a leitura de mundo e a cultura dos alunos não são consideradas relevantes pela maioria dos professores. Com isso impede-se a troca de leituras, a partilha de saberes e o crescimento humano, individual e coletivo. Mantêm-se e se aprofundam preconceitos. Porém, a escola pode ser um espaço que onde é possível o diálogo intercultural com a mediação do professor-educador. Na escola é possível avançar no resgate da riqueza da cultura afrobrasileira, dessa forma contribuir para a diminuição do preconceito e da discriminação que sofrem seus praticantes.

Reading of image: afro-brazilian culture and education

Abstract:

This reflection consists of an exercise of reading of image of the afro-Brazilian culture. The reading object is a photograph that portraies the religious aspect of this culture. The objective of the work is to present possible both readings and directions to the culture afro-Brazilian in our society and the pertaining to school space. The theoretical reflections are based on Paulo Freire, Josette Jolibert, Bernard Charlot and Vera Candau. In School, it does not have space for the afro-Brazilian culture in classroom, since both the reading of world of the pupils and their cultures are not considered. With this it is hindered exchange of readings, the allotment to know and the human, individual and collective growth. They are remained and if they deepen preconceptions. However, the school can be a space that where the intercultural dialogue with the mediation of the professor-educator is possible. In the school the wealth of the culture is possible to rescue all afro-Brazilian and to fight the preconception and the discrimination of that its practitioners are victims.
